Following the announcement from the Prime Minister on Monday night it is with great relief that I am informing you our AGM (scheduled for this Saturday) can now be cancelled without the threat of legal action being taken against the credit union.
For some time we have been working hard to get the IT in place for our staff to work from home and from this Wednesday that is what we will be doing.
It would help us immensely if members could be advised to do the following:
- Register for online banking via our website – this will enable members to withdraw their money without the need for staff intervention. It’s safe, secure and easy to use. You will have access to your money when you need it most, and the staff will work hard behind the scenes to make sure this happens. Members will be able to view, withdraw, and deposit to their accounts from the comfort of their own home.
- If a member absolutely must contact the credit union please do so through email - email@example.com. Telephone contact should be a last resort.
- Contact the credit union if you are struggling to meet repayments on loans.
Our message to you all is that your money is safe, and although we are closing our offices we will be doing everything we can to make sure it does not impact on the services we provide.
In addition to this, if members have been financially affected during this time, let us know. We are here to listen and to try and help find solutions for our loyal members.
