Being a Living Hours Employer means we provide the security of working hours alongside a real Living Wage. This is testament to our commitment to staff, and the security and stability of work they require to meet their everyday needs.
Being part of the Living Hours movement means we’re standing shoulder to shoulder with over 180 employers who are collectively supporting 77,000 workers across the UK. We are thrilled to be one of the first employers to implement this new standard.
As costs continue to soar, we’re not just talking about fair pay – we’re making it happen. As a Living Wage Employer, we’ve always believed in fair pay, and becoming a Living Hours Employer takes our dedication even further.
More about the Living Wage Foundation and Living Hours
The Living Wage Foundation is “the movement of businesses, organisations and people ensuring that everyone can earn a wage that meets their everyday needs.” The Living Wage foundation supports workers across the UK by encouraging employers to fairly pay their employees.
Being a Living Hours Employer means all members of staff within the organization are entitled to:
- At least 4 weeks’ notice for working shifts
- A contract which reflects the hours regularly worked
- A guaranteed minimum of 16 hours of work per week.
Flexibility is needed for some people to help them balance commitments outside of work, such as childcare and caring responsibilities. Due to this there is the option to opt-out of the Living Hours entitlements – employees really are at the centre of the Living Hours and Living Wage movement.
