Looking Forward to Bus Driver of the Year 2024

Our Development Team will be representing Voyager Alliance Credit Union at the Bus Driver of the Year 2024 for the 3rd year running and are excited to meet this year’s finalists.
Blackpool has had the privilege of hosting the national Bus Driver of the Year awards since 1967, and we’re looking forward to playing a part in such a momentous occasion in the sector. With the awards nearly full capacity, we’re sure we are in for another fun-filled weekend.
Voyager Alliance is proud to support the UK’s bus industry by providing an invaluable, free staff benefit to improve the financial resilience and wellbeing of all those working in passenger transport.
Delyth and Emily, from our Business Development Team, reflected on last year’s ceremony. “We met nearly 300 finalists and presented everyone with some mementos to remember their tremendous achievement. A highlight of the weekend was attending the briefing for the competition and the final awards ceremony. We were taken back by the seriousness of the requirements throughout the weekend; we even saw one driver get out a tape measure to measure his distance from the curb! Despite the long days, we still found time to ride on an open-top bus along the coast. It really was a weekend to remember and and we’re looking forward to doing it all again soon!”
Being crowned Bus Driver of the Year is the highest accolade awarded to a professional bus driver and is such an important date in the finalists’ calendars!
