National Apprenticeship Week 2023

This week celebrates National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) 2023! This is the 16th week-long celebration of apprenticeships bringing together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine light on how apprenticeships positively impact individuals, businesses, and the economy!

Skills for Life

The theme for #NAW2023 is “Skills for Life”; reflecting on how apprenticeships help individuals develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and enable businesses to develop a valued and future-ready workforce.

Lewis joined The Penny Post Group in 2018 and said “I was handed the cheat code to life when I joined The Penny Post Group as an apprentice! The support from my apprentice coach and colleagues helped me develop key life skills to succeed. I know there is still plenty more room to progress. Oprah once said “surround yourself with only people who are going to lift you higher” and Penny Post has certainly succeeded for me!”

Meet our Apprentices!

In honour of NAW 2023, we caught up with some of our apprentices.

• Tanya– Tanya joined us back in 2019 and loved every minute of her apprenticeship. “What I learnt on my course is still valuable in helping me develop in my career. I found studying through lockdown challenging but still managed to finish with Distinction in all areas. I am grateful for the support of my colleagues and managers.” Since completing her apprenticeship, Tanya has had the opportunity to travel to Blackpool and Glasgow to expand her networking skills and grow as a young professional.
  
  
• Rav– Rav has some advice for those thinking about starting an apprenticeship. “I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of doing one. Learning on the job and gaining a qualification whilst working is invaluable and stands you in good stead for the future”.
  
  
• Caitlin– Caitlin is our newest Customer Service apprentice! “My apprenticeship is helping me personally, as well as professionally. I am constantly learning new things which are helping me in my career at Penny Post and in everyday life! Everyone is so supportive and they help point me in the right direct if I get stuck. I have learnt so much in such a short amount of time, and I’m looking forward to my future with The Penny Post Group!”
